Bell’s Palsy

Bell’s palsy causes sudden weakness in facial muscles (e.g. in the morning). This makes half of your face appear to droop and cannot control facial expression. The signs and symptoms include drooping mouth, inability to close eye, inability to raise eyebrow, difficulty speaking or whistling. Some may be accompanied with numbness on one side of face or tongue, inability to taste, pain in ear or tinnitus, and dry eye. However, both arms and legs still work as usual.
